Choose the broadcaster for the country where you will watch: Sky in the UK, Sony Sports and SonyLIV in India, or Nine's announced free television coverage in Australia. These routes concern the men's Ashes in England in 2027. They do not give the same channels, account requirements or online access in every country.
Start with the country table, then follow the local instructions before choosing a subscription. The five-Test calendar helps you pick a match; this guide helps you choose a way to see it. Cricket Matches does not show the video itself.
The England 2027 rights period
Sony's agreement includes England home Ashes coverage on its sports channels and SonyLIV.
The rights announcement is not a channel-by-channel programme guide for June 2027.
Do not buy a different cricket subscription merely because it showed an earlier Ashes series in Australia.
Pick your viewing country
| Country | Route supported by the checked announcement | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| United Kingdom | Sky; check the applicable Sky Sports or NOW package | England's 2027 home internationals confirmed live on Sky |
| India | Sony Sports channels / SonyLIV | England home television and digital rights run through 2028 |
| Australia | Nine television | Live, free 2027 Ashes coverage announced; exact digital listing still needs confirmation |
The ECB calendar, Sony agreement and Nine announcement support different parts of this table. Service instructions were checked on 27 October 2026. A future rights period does not lock in a subscription price.
Australia: Nine television
Nine has announced free, live coverage of the 2027 series in England. That gives Australian viewers a confirmed television route. The announcement alone does not identify a 9Now match page or settle every online playback condition.
Devices, live playback and territory
India: choose the supported screen
A plan chosen for a phone should not be treated as permission to cast the match to a television. Confirm the supported screen before payment, especially if several people expect to watch the same stream in the room.
Sky Go entitlement
Sky's Sky Go channel list ties access to your TV package. Check that entitlement before buying another subscription.
Live coverage, replays and travelling
A live channel, a highlights clip and a full replay are separate products. Check which one the event page offers. A result or a short video cannot tell you whether the complete day's play is included in your subscription, and a live listing does not establish how long a replay will remain available.
When travelling, review the service's country rules before paying. 9Now's location policy, for example, restricts viewing to Australia. Owning an account does not turn a territorial service into a worldwide one.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the women's Ashes schedule?
No. This guide covers the men's five-Test series. The linked calendar keeps those fixtures together so that a similarly named women's match is not mistaken for the same event.
Can I watch on Cricket Matches?
No. Open the external broadcaster or streaming service. This site provides viewing information and links.
Should I use an old 2025–26 Ashes subscription guide?
Check the 2027 England rights and the current package first. A guide for a different host country or period does not establish your access to this series.
Does free television mean a free online stream everywhere?
No. Nine's Australian television announcement and an online service's territory and event listing answer different questions.
Is a bookmaker account enough to watch?
Only the operator's actual match listing and viewing conditions can establish that. Registration alone does not prove that a stream is included in your country.
Where are the individual match dates?
Use the men's Ashes fixtures. It keeps the five Tests on one page rather than mixing them with other 2027 England matches.
UK memberships, duration and renewal
For a UK streaming membership, NOW's current help lists Multi-Sport, All Sky Sports and Day as including Sky Sports Cricket. Football Membership excludes it. These are current product descriptions, not guaranteed 2027 terms.
Choose the membership for the viewing you intend to do, then check its duration and renewal terms at checkout. A day of viewing and a series spread across several weeks are different purchases. Compare the checkout total, minimum term and viewing period against the Tests you intend to follow.
Prepare the selected viewing route
UK: check the sports channel
For Sky television, confirm that your account includes the sports channel carrying the selected Test. An entertainment subscription and a sports subscription solve different access questions. Check the programme guide as well as the channel list before adding anything to an existing account.
India: television or SonyLIV
On television, check the specific Sony Sports channel in your provider's listing.
For online viewing, use the India Ashes instructions. They explain plan selection, phone verification, the difference between a mobile-only screen and television access, and what to check if the TV asks you to subscribe again.
Australia: check the digital listing
The Australia guide separates that TV confirmation from current 9Now account and device instructions. If you plan to stream, check the event listing before relying on a particular app.
Set up the screen before the Test
Before the first session, open the provider's official site or app and confirm the match, viewing country and device. Sign in and finish any account verification or device activation.
If playback fails, identify which problem the screen actually reports. A missing subscription, a different account on the TV and a geographical restriction need different checks. Creating a second account can make the first problem harder to trace, especially when payment went through an app store or television provider.
For example, SonyLIV's TV help tells viewers to check the subscribed account and My Purchases before reactivating the TV. Use the help page for the provider you selected; another service's activation code will not apply.
Package and device rules are dated current guidance; future match listings require their own check.
