Foxtel Group's IPL agreement covers live matches on Foxtel and Kayo through at least 2027. Choose between the television service and a separate Kayo streaming subscription according to the account and screen you already use.

For an existing Foxtel Sports customer, inspect your TV package and guide before paying for another app. For Kayo, check the tier and supported device at signup. The instructions below were checked on 27 October 2026; a rights agreement does not freeze subscription prices or future plan features.

Devices and viewing location

Use Kayo's supported-device directory for the screen you intend to watch on. Its platform guidance covers compatible TVs, set-top devices, phones, tablets and browsers. A brand name on the television is not enough; the model and operating system must be supported.

Set up the account on the device you plan to watch on. Signing in on your phone does not confirm that your television supports the app. If the app is missing from your device's official store, check the compatibility list before buying hardware or another subscription.

Look up the fixture in the provider's schedule as well as the IPL calendar notes. Confirm whether you selected live coverage, a replay or highlights. These viewing formats should not be treated as the same product.

Account and sign-in steps

Kayo's signup help tells new customers to select a subscription tier and follow the account and payment prompts. An existing profile can subscribe through My Account. Choose the tier after checking the screens and simultaneous viewing you need, then keep the confirmation with the account email.

On Android TV, the specific setup page tells you to install the current Kayo Sports app from Google Play and sign in. New customers subscribe through a browser before returning to the TV app. The page distinguishes Android TV OS from Android Mobile OS running on a TV device; those are not interchangeable compatibility labels.

Rights periods and match listings

Foxtel Group's announcement of 6 April 2023 identifies both outlets and the period through at least 2027. It supports an Australian rights route, rather than a statement about a named 2027 channel number or a current promotional price.

Announced change for 2027: Foxtel's channel notice says its Fox Sports channels will become Kayo Sports channels, including Fox Cricket becoming Kayo Cricket. The notice does not provide an exact transition date. Read the current TV guide when looking for cricket instead of treating an old channel name as a second subscription.

Payment and free-access conditions

For direct-billed customers, Kayo's cancellation instructions use My Account and Manage Subscription, followed by the cancellation confirmation steps. Access continues until the end of the paid billing period. Apple-billed subscribers need Apple's cancellation process.

The subscription-management guide explains that tier changes can have different effective dates: upgrades can apply immediately with a proportional charge, while downgrades take effect with the next billing cycle. Check the confirmation before changing a plan just for a single fixture.

Frequently asked questions

Does Foxtel Sports include the separate Kayo app?

Foxtel's channel notice says a separate Kayo subscription is needed for the Kayo app. Its TV channel renaming does not merge the accounts.

Can I use Kayo while outside Australia?

Kayo's location policy requires an Australian location. Check a local broadcaster when travelling; this guide does not provide a way around the restriction.

Does an Android-based television always support Kayo?

No. Check the exact Android TV requirements. Kayo distinguishes the supported TV operating system from Android Mobile OS on television devices.

Will cancellation cut off the match immediately?

Direct cancellation leaves access until the end of the paid billing period, according to Kayo's current help. Check that date in the confirmation.

Is a free IPL 2027 trial established by the rights deal?

No. Read an actual offer's eligibility and live-content terms at checkout. The broadcaster agreement does not specify a future trial.

Where should I look if I will watch in another country?

Use the international IPL viewing guide. Australian rights and Kayo account terms do not establish access in another territory.

The announced 2027 channel change is separate from present subscription instructions.
